Rich's Gun Shop is owned and operated by Lee Richeson, and is located in the historic town of Donald, Oregon. Founded in 1963 by Lee's father Al ("Rich" to his friends) Richeson, Rich's continues the tradition of quality service that our customers have come to expect over the years. At 13 years old, Rich's son Lee started his apprenticeship under the master gunsmith. Sanding and refinishing gunstocks, learning the many steps involved in blueing, and cleaning the shop was the humble beginning of the Rich's Gun Shop that we are today. The shop in Donald has been a project over several years as Lee wanted to see his dream come to life. Completely stripped, gutted, and remodeled, the building originally started as a machine shop before he acquired it. Now it's like you're stepping back in time into a John Wayne film. From the outside of the shop with a hitching post for your horse, to the Ole Chisolm Trail Mine, seeing the gun shop is truly a unique experience. We have two full-time gunsmiths and sales professionals to help you get geared up, repaired, accessorized, and outdoors! So stop in and visit, and we are always glad to answer any questions you may have, take in work, and even create you a custom rifle! |
